I have designed a screensaver called KOceanSaver:
http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php/KOceanSaver?content=95863 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3WljAtT2cU A few people have asked if it could be used as a live wallpaper like on an android phone. The only thing I can think would work is something like the snow affect. Would anyone be willing to help or send me in the right direction?

You need to look at Plasma::Wallpaper on api.kde.org. This will allow it to be used as a native Plasma wallpaper (compositing not required)
