I need to use slideshow as screensaver. This is included in MDV 2011 Free distro. The process running slideshow is kslideshow.kss. So I copy several JPG`s to appropriate subdir bud only "native" JPG`s and PNG`a (included in distro) are displayed. What the problem is? Does anybody know?
Or is any other KDE screensaver which can display JPG`s fron pre-defined subdir? (RPM will be most usefull for me). |

Open the Screensaver control panel, then ensure Slideshow is selected. Then press Setup, and specify the Image folder you want it to use and confirm.

You have applied the settings in the module correct? (By clicking apply).

I think so. The path to screensaver pics is /home/kiosk/Pobrane/screensaver and screensaver config shows such path. I can open each JPG using Kuickshow, okular, gimp etc including my pics. My pics are 600x600 pixel size.
But can You show me workaround by using another screensaver utility with slideshow functionality? |

The tool you likely want to look at is XScreensaver.
