It looks like my new (short, about 60K) fantasy novel is now in late-beta stage. I'm looking for an artist willing to READ IT, talk to me about what to illustrate for the cover, and check it against the image in my mind.

Andreas Raninger did just that for Terms of Service (http://valdyas.org/irina/books/senthi.html) a couple of years ago. It doesn't need to be in that style, this is just to point out that he got the architecture even more right than the image in my mind was, and gave Senthi leather armor instead of flowing white robes for the sword-fight when I asked.

I can pay about 50-100 euros; please give me an approximate quote and a couple of examples of your style and outlook. As I'm releasing under CC-BY-SA I expect that of my cover artist too; what I'm paying you for is the work you're doing. And I'd like to say, as with Terms of Service , that it's all been made with free software!

I can, and will probably prefer to, do my own cover design with your picture.
