I accidentally added several widgets onto my task bar and can't get them removed now.
Task bar panel is unlocked but there is no choice to remove them. anyone know a solution? Thanks |

Go to ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc (or ~/.kde/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc), there you will find them and be able to remove them.
The file is a bit difficult to read first, but it is actually easy: All widgets are organized in containments, e.g. a panel is a containment. For each containment, there is first a block with general properties, and then come the widgets that are located inside. Note that for example all blocks with [Containments][20][Applets][44] describe only one widget, they belong together. Just delete what you want to remove, safe the file and restart plasma. If you find it too complicated, you can also just delete the file altogether and restart plasma. Then you start again with the default settings. |

You have to turn on panel editing and find red x for each widget. |
