Calendar PIM Events Plugin - when?

Thu Jun 23, 2016 9:30 pm
Please, could you answer, when PIM Events Plugin for Calendar widget will be available in Neon unstable? It shows events from KOrganizer (such as birthdays, meetings, etc.) in Calendar agenda view. In openSUSE Leap with Plasma unstable repos (and in Argon builds) it works since June 3. In Neon only Holidays plugin is available.

PIM events in Calendar is the Plasma's crucial feature, which was the main reason for me to prefer KDE 4. When could it appear in Neon?

It will require Applications 16.08 (coming out in August) in order to work.

So, there is no hope for its earlier appearing in unstable developer branch? In Argon it had appeared at June 3 (probably, with Applications 16.07.70). I supposed the unstable branch is just for such earlier feature testing.

Yes!!! Finally, after 2.5 months of agonizing wait we got it! Today PIM Events plugin works in Calendar in Neon developers unstable! Today, August 15, is the historical date!
Congratulations and a lot of thanks to Neon developers!!! Thanks to you efforts Plasma 5 becomes full-value environment in Ubuntu-based distributions!

It is now also in the User Editon, so this Thread can be marked as solved.
