I've checked the option in the advanced Keyboard Hardware and Layout settings to enable the Ctrl + Alt + Backspace shortcut, but it doesn't seem to work. Can you confirm that?

Hi,
Ubuntu has disabled this feature by default for quite some time. To enable it, you have to run:
In the shell. It allowes to configure a couple of things, one of them is this keyboard shortcut. Best regards, Martin |

I've opened an issue about it on KDE Neon: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365106

I forgot that there is an UI based setting for this as well. Tried it on my machine (up to date neon user/stable) and it worked here right away. Does the shortcut work on your machine when you enable the setting using the command I mentioned before? (While the kde setting for the shortcut is also enabled) Best regards, Martin |

This thread is about the UI setting... It worked for you because you had already "unlocked" it with the terminal (and after doing that, it also works for me). I've created a bug report because that should be done automatically by the UI on clean KDE Neon installs. With the current default configuration, it doesn't work.
