I'm using KDE Neon 5.7 User Edition.
In my list of sources, the source code repository (deb-src) for http://archive.neon.kde.org/user/ was enabled by default. Usually that's only used by developers. Does KDE Neon require it to keep active, or can I uncheck it? |

It is not only for developer, but also if you want to use automatic mechanisms to build packages from source (for example to make build configuration modifications on your own) using
or
So, if you didn't use that feature so far (and not intend to build the packages by yourself for now) you can safely disable these repository entries. This will improve the performance of updating the package list and installing upgrades a little bit. Best regards, Martin |
