Hi,
I recently upgraded my KDE Neon 5.6.5 to 5.7.0 and got a wired bug when using multiple screens (2) one for VGA, and second with HDMI connector. The bug explanation recorded by video on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBZvG7Rf8mI The bug has never occurs with KDE Neon 5.6.x, only on 5.7.0. Edit: When I close the plasmashell and reopen it, the bug is gone, but comeback after restart to PC. Thanks, Kfir |

Interesting. Is this reproducable if you move ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc out of the way (keep a backup copy)?
When you do this, first kquitapp5 plasmashell ... now move way the config file ... then restart "plasmashell" What's weird is that the panel gets restored, but the desktop containment doesn't. That means that plasmashell at least understands that there are two screens, but fails only to position (or create?) the desktop containment, not the panel.

The panel doesnt restored to the black screen, I dragged it manually.
I will move the config while I restarting the plasmashell and update.. Edited: When I moved the config file and restarted the plasmashell, the second screen went back to normal. Unfortunately, When I made restart to the machine, the bug came back again. |

Please re-test with 5.8 / master, this bug is most likely fixed.
