Sound issue?

Fri Jul 15, 2016 5:27 pm
Just recently i noticed that when i have headphones plug into my case front panel, i would not get audio from any other audio port as long as they are plug in.

I have done the proper configuration changes on "system settings" to default output to the rear ports. The thing is that any change has no effect as long as the headphones are plug, as soon as i take them out i get audio on the rear ports.

Also i set up the front panel to as "Intel High Definition Audio" not "AC-97".

This is the mobo model: Gigabyte 78mlt-usb3

And the audio device on my system:
*-multimedia

If I'm not misstaken you refer to the auto-mute feature. There is a link in the Archlinux-Wiki how to disable it.

Best regards,
Martin

Thanks you, this was indeed the issue.

"Hidden" features as default..... so annoying.
