Strange Klipper Action

Sun Aug 21, 2016 5:33 pm
The only way I could get text from the clipboard to paste into anything, was to set the configuration for Klipper to default settings.

By narrowing it down, I found it only works if I have "prevent empty clipboard" ticked. I then had to set a keyboard shortcut to manually clear the history.

This is something new, that didn't happen in the old version of Klipper. Is this how it is supposed to work, or am I missing something?

Klipper doesn't show in Synaptic, and when I tried to delete and reinstall it with Discover, the system would only load to a system prompt. I then needed to do an image restore to get it working again.

That's obviously not the expected behavior of any piece of software. Please file a bug with all details you can to http://bugs.kde.org/

Re: Strange Klipper Action  Topic is solved

Strangely enough, I quite like the way Klipper works now. I assigned the "pause" button as the keyboard shortcut.

Now I can paste content, then just hit the pause key to clear the clipboard. I was wondering why I couldn't paste images into Gimp, then discovered the purpose of the "Invoke action" button.

Think I will leave it as it is.
