Well, the ol' woodsmoker is just a hardware kinda guy, and my motto has always been to "check the wiring first" if something doesn't work.
So... I did a clean install on some bare metal and.... could NOT get A Bluetooth Jam Classic speaker to work! ![]() I did NOT add anything "new"! I merely updated, a large one, and then re-updated, a small one, and re-updated again! ![]() Could NOT get the dingus to produce sound from VLC! The default Bluetooth driver worked, it would test the speaker etc. just fine. VLC played but would not put sound into the dingus. I went through the VLC options in "tools / preferences" settings for twenty minutes, redid the setup of the Bluetooth, you name it - no joy. So, sitting there with my jaw on my hand and not in a good mood, I clicked in VLC on the upper menu - " audio / audio device " and it had defaulted to the onboard card with the normal plugged speakers! :0 Ticked Jam Classic and instant sound! ![]() So, moral to the story? If all else fails with bluetooth and sound output, ummm check the wiring umm SIMPLEST setting! ![]() BTW....installation was....9 minutes with updates and proprietary stuff! :0 woodsmoke |
