Hi.
I have just installed KDE Neon and I try to install skype. When I try to install the .deb package for ubuntu (from skype.com) I get the following: dpkg: error processing archive skype-ubuntu-precise_4.3.0.37-1_i386.deb (--install): package architecture (i386) does not match system (amd64) Errors were encountered while processing: skype-ubuntu-precise_4.3.0.37-1_i386.deb Then I run: sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386 (Not quite sure if this is a safe action) and try to install again. Then, I get
How can I overcome the aforementioned? |

You tried install, this libs manually?

I was a bit hesitant, cos I was not quite confident that this is the proper thing to do
Instead, I tried adding the partner ubuntu repository, in order that to resolve dependencies. Leading to a similar result... |

Understood, more careful in use other repositories.
When system inform to you that need libraries for install a package, you can install without problems.
