How to install skype?

dimkard Registered Member Posts 15 Karma 0	How to install skype? Wed Sep 07, 2016 11:27 am Hi. I have just installed KDE Neon and I try to install skype. When I try to install the .deb package for ubuntu (from skype.com) I get the following: dpkg: error processing archive skype-ubuntu-precise_4.3.0.37-1_i386.deb (--install): package architecture (i386) does not match system (amd64) Errors were encountered while processing: skype-ubuntu-precise_4.3.0.37-1_i386.deb Then I run: sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386 (Not quite sure if this is a safe action) and try to install again. Thu Sep 08, 2016 6:54 am I was a bit hesitant, cos I was not quite confident that this is the proper thing to do Instead, I tried adding the partner ubuntu repository, in order that to resolve dependencies. Leading to a similar result...
