I have changed to breeze dark theme with icons and for some reasons the icons in the launcher at the bottom doesn't change. Doesn't matter what I tried it stay just the same. This started when I was exploring the system I went to Application Launcher Settings then under appearance I press 'Icon' but I didn't actually changed it but all the icons at the bottom of the launcher changed and it is unchangeable. I'm talking about these icons: ![]() Any help is appreciated thank you. |

I did update with the konsole but only with this command:
Should I try to update again? |

this command only updates repo cache. you should run this command to update installed softwares on your system. sudo apt upgrade |

It didn't fix the problem.
Maybe if I'll reset kde to default will fix it. How can I reset kde theme and icons? |

These icons are taken from the (Plasma) desktop theme, not the icon theme.
You can only change them by switching to a different desktop theme. And yes, it is normal that the ones from Breeze-dark look the same as the ones from Breeze... You may try to remove the icon and Plasma theme caches from ~/.cache/ though (~/.cache/icon-cache.kcache and ~/.cache/plasma*) if something is not working as expected. And sometimes Plasma needs to be restarted to notice all configuration changes. |

I just noticed that desktop theme is responsible for the icons in the launcher at the bottom, but I'm trying to get back the icons that was with the default settings like the icons in KDE Neon official website https://neon.kde.org/ look at the screen-shot example there.
All the desktop themes I have doesn't have the default icons. (I mean the icons in the launcher at the bottom only the rest is fine) So I tried to delete the cache files but it is still the same even after I rebooted the machine. Any ideas how to get it back? Thank you very much for the help. (Sorry for my English I'm still learning ![]() |
