Hello.
I have recently installed Neon, and it seems to me that some of the software that would be present if I had installed KDE on my existing system (such as KMail, Konqueror, a feed reader, a music player, etc.) is not present when I install the system. It seems to only come with the bare minimum of what KDE requires by default. I would like to install these packages, but I am not aware of which ones in particular are missing in Neon. So, I am wondering, what are the packages missing from a Neon install that would be present after a regular installation of KDE on my existing computer? |

There is no global "KDE requirement". Neon packages Frameworks (a set of libraries), Plasma (a desktop environment) and few other applications, either coming from the bundle called "KDE Applications" or with an independent release schedule.

KDE is a community of freedom fighters, we generally do not come with packages. Some of us are surely are in the package delivery industry I should think though, still an overly broad generalization

Good information about the full package.
I really like the fact that Neon has a minimal set of applications. It was for me a strong reason to try Neon (and stick to it) |
