Hi,
Firstly can I say what an amazing job KDE 5.8 is. I have always disliked KDE and used Gnome 2 and then Cinnamon, but you have really kicked the ball out of the park and improved the whole design. My question relates to when I send shortcuts to the desktop. I can't see how to resize the icon or the text. I can left click and hold for 5 seconds and move it, but the resize is greyed out. In MS Windows which I use at work (I know its different), but I can choose small, medium or large icons and choose to auto-arrange them. Is any of this functionality possible? ![]() Many thanks Peter |

Yes, you can switch to a "classic" desktop that displays the content of the ~/Desktop folder directly (like Windows does). If you then right-click on an empty space (or left-click on the toolbox icon in the top-left corner) and choose "Desktop Settings", you can also set the icon size.
