							Hi!
 gives this:
That's additional ~250 MB. OK, then this
 gives
and it requires ~180 MB on the disk. Similar story with KTorrent - many KDE4 libs and 184 MB..... Let's try
 It looks better:
And "only" ~100 MB. Questions: 1. Does this mean that both Amarok and JuK are not ported to Plasma 5 and pull KDE4 "tail" together still ? And Digikam got rid of those KDE4 dependencies already ? 2. How do I know if a KDE app is ported to Plasma 5 ? Regards ArtūrasB. |

 | Thanks, Cobber. It helps a bit, but can we trust it ?
I checked KTorrent, for example. The KDE Developer page says it's ported, but "apt" still pulls those KDE4 libs..... |

Thats an issue which you can discuss with the packagers of your distribution. @OP If you like to use all the new kf5 apps, give KaOS a try, it ship a pure kf5 environment since a while. |

Yeah it's only a guide. I had Krusader installed, which wasn't ported over, then the KDE 5 version came out and I had a heck of a time trying to get it to work - especially in root mode.

They promised us the latest software - it's KDE Neon, baby !
And what will happen if I want Amarok on KaOS ? Will I have it ported to Plasma 5 ? On the other side I'm getting old and lazy. And I'm used to *buntu family, I love its tools and package management. You get the point P.S.: I found the answer myself - Amarok on KaOS still needs the kdelibs4support. |
