Just checked update notifications and Discover and both say up-to-date.
But been well over 3 weeks now and no updating going on. Where is the freshest bleeding edge updates? Is this a known issue? Standard latest KDE Neon installed about a month ago with the Oct. Iso. And got updates after initial install and then a less than a week some more updates. Since mid-October nada So did a sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade and there are updates installing now.
And terminal is updating and now the systray update icon shows up on taskbar saying there are updates. So now am confused as why the system is not upgrading without manual intervention. |

I have removed discover and the update-notifyer. It just does not work properly.
So I perform updates manually with: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade Works good for me |

No, update notifications don't seem to work. I use Synaptic to both install apps and check for updates.
Once Synaptic checks for updates, the icon appears in the taskbar, but only then.
The Town Site Buy your own town and promote it however you want.

Doesn't reliably work for me either. At this point I just use Command line.

Yes, the update manger works normally. It's just that the icon is "invisible" and usually appears in between other icons on the bottom systray. Do this: Bottom right systray. right click, open widgets. Scroll through them look for updates. Double click and now that widget appears "marked" Now look in the bottom right again. The little "triangle" next to your time and calendar. Click on that little triangle. You will see "updates" in the list. Now, when you have actual updates, remember that the icon will probably be invisible, but you WILL have a blank space there where the icon "should" be. Sometimes the blank space is even at the end, sometimes you just have to click that blank space I guess I'm so use to working through things with linux I just usually fix things and move on. Also, in "Discover", you can go to "settings" then "more", and "check for updates".
