Problems with KMail after upgrade

Sat Dec 17, 2016 9:02 pm
Hi,

after a recent upgrade, I can't send mails with KMail anymore.
They are stuck in the outbox - error message is "Failed to get D-Bus interface of mailfilteragent."
I noticed that there is no Akonadi Filter agent when I start akonadiconsole.

It occurred after a recent upgrade:
Install: pim-sieve-editor:amd64 (4:16.12.0-0neon+16.04+build2, automatic), pim-data-exporter:amd64 (4:16.12.0-0neon+16.04+build2, automatic), mbox-importer:amd64 (4:16.12.0-0neon+16.04+build2, automatic), libkf5kipi32.0.0:amd64 (16.12.0-0neon+16.04+build20, automatic), libmarblewidget-qt5-26:amd64 (4:16.12.0-0neon+16.04+build21, automatic)

I also have some problems with akonadi after the upgrade: Can't send or receive mails.
But my error message is a bit different: "There were problems trying to queue the message for sending: Failed to append item"

There is a discussion about a similar (or the same) issue in the opensuse-factory mailing list:
https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-fac ... 00207.html

Sounds to be related and I have the same trouble with kmail 5.4.0, KDE Frameworks 5.29.0, KDE Applications 16.12.0, in OpenSUSE Tumbleweed.
