Hey there,
I'm having problems with my kde neon installation. I am running it on my HP 350G2 laptop and the bluetooth adapter seems to be very picky with what it connects to. It cannot even find my headphones, but it does find my bluetooth speakers. The headphones indicate (blinking LED) that it tries to pair, but on my laptop it doesn't even show up. The adapter and headphones worked great under windows, so they should be able to find each other. As for the WiFi, the connections seems to be quite unstable. I have to restart the connection ever few minutes. Maybe the problem is connected, because both sit on the same device? I already tried different things, but so far no luck. Any pointers or help is greatly appreciated. |

This is old, but I am going to answer it myself in case someone else might run into the same problem.
What I found out is that the pci card that is used in the HP 350 g2 is not supported very well under any linux. I couldn't manage to get it running properly under ubuntu and had constant disconnects, in bluetooth connections and wifi connections. Xubuntu worked a little bit better, but not much. In the end I just used a different pci card and replaced the one that was installed. Now I just have wifi, but at least it works reliably. You can buy pretty cheap replacements on ebay and amazon. But make sure to check for compatibility before buying; some companies are known to work better under linux. |
