Hi. I am trying to import all of my email settings from Claws Mail, but when I access the import tool in Kmail, I get the following message:
I installed Kmail with the Software Center, but have installed Synaptic to poke around and see if I could find something that was called "ImportWizard", unfortunately without help. Any suggestions how I can get this sorted? |

Hi,
please check for accountwizzard in Synaptic. This should do the trick |

Not installed. I ran:
A window pops up when I start Kmail, stating that another email client has been detected, but everything is greyed out. When I close the window and start the wizard from Kmail, I get the same message as in my first posting on this topic |

This helps probably (with me, it does):
$ sudo apt install akonadi-import-wizard |

OK, that got the wizard working, thanks. For those that try this and have multiple accounts, they should be aware that the import requires a fair amount of configuration, particularly if you have never used KMail before. I am planning on installing the KDE Neon distro on my other computers, so it would also be nice to know how to copy the KMail files onto a USB pen drive (where do they reside, post transfer issues, etc.).

In KMail Tools-> Import/Export KMail Data, then File -> Export Data or Import Data |
