hi guys. i installed kde neon user edition (latest ) on virtual box on my linux mint 18.1.(dell laptop e6430, 4gb ram, 2.7ghz intel cpu with intel hd4000 graphics)
i would like to report some bugs i encountered 1)if i right click an open program in the panel and press pin to panel, the icon size for that program (in the extreme left of panel) is always weird and not the same as the other icons. if however i go to application launcher and right click a program there and select add to panel, then the correct sized icon is added to the extreme left of the panel. 2) i have added memory and cpu desktop widgets to my screen. however after i have minimized and maximized lots of screens several times eg full screen in youtube or by pressing f11 in my browser, or most commonly entering and leaving full screen in virtual box, the position of the widgets on my desktop changes. 3)in the discover software centre if i click to install updates etc i just get an installing dialog. the progress bars freeze as well as the whole discover app. it only unfreezes after all programs have stopped updating/installing.there is no way to see progress or time remaining or to do anything else in the app. 4) opera browser always starts in half sized window. usually the window size at closing time is remembered by the OS and that becomes default size. however on opera browser, even if i close it at fully maximized, on restarting it starts at half sized window. im not a power user just a layperson. i dont know where else to report these problems. so pls dont reply with suggestions of posting it on this or that bug website. im just trying to do my part in making FOSS better thank you |

Thanks for your help! Even when you wrote nobody should do it I have to tell you: The best way would be, if you could search on https://bugs.kde.org/ if these bugs already have been reported and if not, report them there. Otherwise nobody will notice.

I agree that it would be nice for Discover to show the progress when installing apps. The Deepin software center does. Most of the time, I use the terminal for installing/uninstalling/updating and whatnot. But since we've got Discover (nicest software center of them all), why not have that feature as well? Discover has progressed a lot and I trust it'll get even better.
I prefer real hardware for testing purposes. But hey, that's just me.
I'm a layman too. Don't worry.
I think the same.
