I've recently started using neon and although I enjoy the system I've stumbled upon some problems.
First I was unable to unlock the screen. I solved that changing the permissions of unix_chkpwd as per this bug report https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/299717
Now I can't login. When I type my password at the login screen it shows a black screen and goes back to the previous screen.
If I try to login via tty it shows
