I've just reinstalled from this neon-useredition-20170629-1018-amd64.iso (neon user 20170629-10:46) image and fully updated the system.
I. Application Dashboard is broken Try this: Step 1: hit superkey to launch the dashboard Step 2: launch Firefox with mouse pointer from icon in Recent Applications Step 3: close Firefox from x in titlebar and don't move away the pointer (after closing, just let go of the mouse) Step 4: launch dashboard again from superkey Step 5: try to navigate the dashboard from the arrow keys I shall continue at a later time - I'm a bit ![]() Just reported it https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381879 Wanna see the bug? Right there https://github.com/Plasmoner/It-bugs-me/issues/1 This is just an example though. The frame is bouncing forth to the next icon and back again with a frequency so high that it cannot be captured by a screenshot. But it never succeeds to make it to the next icon. II. Making the folder view item delegates tighter was a good thing to do, but it caused collateral issues: 1. Gap at the right of the screen on a mainstream resolution - 1920 x 1080 2. Conflict with Desktop Toolbox (default position) 3. Conflict with hot corner (default position) All of it is described right here https://github.com/Plasmoner/All-things-plasma/issues/1 Just cannot understand how this can be dismissed or ignored for so long. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380424 III. Desktop Toolbox won't always close when one clicks on the Desktop. It does so in the LTS Edition. Bug report coming ... Man, I am so ... ![]() ![]() There https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381883 Now I have done pretty much everything I could. It's out of my hands.

Added some pictures capturing the bug. You can see them right there https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381879 It's like the frame is in two places at the same time ... it's an illusion though ... due to the high frequency. But it's stuck alright. Were taken with my finger holding down the arrow key. (one key at the time, not two!)
Has anyone run into this issue/bug?

From: https://neon.kde.org/develop
"............. More information is on the KDE neon wiki pages to find out who’s making this and how to help us. Developers mostly chat in #kde-neon on Freenode IRC and on the KDE neon mailing list. List of KDE IRC chans: http://irc.netsplit.de/channels/?chat=kde Maybe that would help and be better suited for you. ^^ |

Last but not least, I'm addressing a thank you to the Neon Team. It might not be perfect but is an exceptionally decent job. My apologies for having been overly critical. I have misunderstood how things work.

Errata: That is nonsense. I was tired, I guess. "The frame is bouncing forth to the next icon and back again with high frequency" is more like it. The thing boils down to this: As long as one interacts with the Dashbord via keyboard exclusively, the dashboard works flawlessly. However, if and only if one also uses the mouse (ex. clicking on an icon in dash), that causes the dash to glitch out, namely makes it unnavigable via the arrow keys. Simple as that. It might happen to all people or just some or only to me. That's why I've asked whether anyone can confirm it, as GNU/Linux based OSs are rather unpredictable as to how they work on different hardware. From what I know, this wasn't an issue until recently. Namely the dash glitch. If I'll ever report again on the bug site, I'll make sure I'm rested so I can formulate clearly and to the right place. If people are what they make, then I'm only noise, so far. I've come into GNU/Linux rather recently. This is different to Windows, where one can only point fingers. Anyone on this forum can commit improvements to the code, provided one is knowledgeable enough to do so and provided those commits are beneficial to the community, whether Neon or KDE in general.
