Hello!
I don't understand a single point of Your blog post. Create a new user account. Set its language to English. And post Your screen shots again. a) Not everybody uses Facebook. b) Not everybody speaks Russian. Thanks. What's a "packaged package"? Are there unpackaged packages? Are there non-"individual packages" in existence? How much do 5 fogs cost as sold on Facebook? Please explain. |

Man is not Russian, everyone else who wants to understand would understand. Program names and libraries are written in English, versions are numbers that everyone understands. This is not a blog but a warning of what can happen if you try to do a normal update and upgrade. I installed the Meta package Kdepim at the same time as I installed the Neon user edition. Everything was OK until this last update when it encountered a conflict between the versions. In the repository, there must not be a Kdepim old version of the new version program. Kdepim invites programs to the old version, but this does not exist.
I was looking for help from an official neon group to support facebook and lost my data... If you do not understand, I do not see a reason to write. I know well that it's all free, but that does not mean it should cause chaos and conflicts that will lead to data loss. Thank you for your attention, this was a warning to other users, the moderator can lock |

"Man is not Russian".
Sorry. I didn't recognize immediately that this was what Feminists call the "Man"-language. I didn't know it's regularly written with Cyrillic letters. My fault. By the way: What exactly is Your package conflict? I still don't know. a) Name OS version number. b) Package version numbers, too. c) Read some arbitrary text about: --> "How to report a bug/problem" And: Thank You for the entertainment. Well done. Very funny. |

It would have been simpler to just ask the OP what each screenshot was showing
To the OP, if they are still around:
I understand this to mean you added Neon repositories to a Kubuntu install? I ask this as there is no method to install kdepim while installing Neon from the usb install disk "Upgrading" Kubuntu to Neon is not supported as there can be (rare) package conflicts due to differences between the two distros, and it sounds like this may be what you have run up against.

Oh, my god, it's normal that I installed a regular version of Neon user edition: http://files.kde.org/neon/images/neon-u ... n/current/
Why install Kubuntu and through it Neon when Plasma 5 comes through a backport in Kubuntu. Did I ever write that I installed Kubuntu? Kdepim was in the Neon Repository as a Meta package... Moderator, please lock this topic |
