Hi guys,
Still debating what's what, huh? Also check the Kubuntu forum for a clearer picture. I think Neon, Maui, Kubuntu, OpenSUSE and so forth are great in their own way. It really all boils down to what's suitable to whom. Cheers KDE family!

For newcomers: trying to figure out Neon is likely to be a hard endeavour without putting it into historical context with Kubuntu.
The "split" was unfortunate but necessary. I'm glad Kubuntu survived and recovered so well. Congratulations Kubuntu team for the good work! Special word of appreciation goes to Rick (absolutely charismatic and a fine gentleman with a charming Exeter accent) and Rik for for all his efforts and proactiveness. But the whole team is top-notch. Had to say it.

+1 and amen! while I'm a relatively new covert to KDE and a more recent Neon user... given that the Neon team continue providing this KDE experience, I don't mind if it's a side-front-back project; it's like I've finally arrived in Linux land 'cos I don't have that curious urge to see what those other distros may look like or feel like!
