See that broken count 5? Something to worry about?

If by '5' You mean the result
of 'echo $?', then You maybe misunderstood the
meaning of that number.

It's not a count-number.
It does not mean '5 errors'.
Its only a message. It's intended to
be read by other programs and not by humans.

The message is:

"Nothing useful was done."

That's neither an error, nor an error count.

By the way: This is nothing Linux/Unix specific.

Compare Microsoft's cmd.exe.
They don't do 'echo $?' in cmd.exe, if I remember correctly.
But they do 'type %ERRORLEVEL%' or something like that.

It's the way command line programs tell their exit state
to each other.

Or look at Microsoft's PowerShell as comparison.

It's the same mechanism everywhere.

Apple uses the same technique as KDE neon.
Because MacOS uses the bash shell, too.

This confirms it, I guess.

Edit: Anyways, can't expect from me more than fair use of apt. It works for me.

Edit 2: Neon is Ubuntu Xenial with extra Neon repo added. So what applies to Xenial, applies to the OS that gets installed from the Neon images. Including apt manpages. Neon repo gets priority. That's all. It's a good OS. Purest Plasma.

Sure. I mean, if you look at the last Konsole output, the 5 count is gone. I wasn't in clear with that 5. It's gone. dpkg -s k3b ^

So yeah, this LTS works for me. Don't want to divert the thread but don't want to open a new one either. So I'll spell it right here: seems there's no breezefied libreoffice in the neon lts repo.

@NoName Thanks for the guidance. You're smart and well-documented.

Oh man. Sorry. I'm tired. I'm confused again. So:

When I tried to install k3b, there were 2 error counts 5. But after I installed it there were no more error counts. It got resolved somehow.

Hi,
I updated today to plasmashell 5.13.4 and I recieved a message when the process finished .
Finalizado [ ] (0%)
(pkcon:5343): GLib-CRITICAL **: Source ID 5572 was not found when attempting to remove it
[=========================]
Afterwards, I run the command you suggested and find the response below
jochoa@jochoapc:~$ echo $?

I have been receiving the same message since plasmashell 5.12.5 but I ignored because I thought It was not important and today I found this post.
Hope it help to anybody.

Packagekit is a distro-agnostic package manager front-end. Plasma Discover is based on Packagekit to ensure that it works on any distro (not only on Debian-Ubuntu). From my perspective, the subject is exhausted but I'm pretty sure it will go on forever. :)
