Hello fellow Neon users,
Description: I have fresh-installed from this neon-userltsedition-20170705-0019-amd64.iso image. I have used
https://neon.kde.org/faq This is the full Konsole output:
I would like to know (based on what one can see in the Konsole output) whether the update was a success or a failure. Much appreciated in advance.

If the process as a whole ends free of errors,
then immediately after getting Your command prompt ('macſ@pc:~$') back, type: echo $? If it's 0 (Zero), then there were zero errors. Else, there were. |

I'd simply repeat the process, to see what errors
or warnings are left. |

A hint for the next installation could be:
Install KDE neon on btrfs filesystem. Then You can make a snapshot, if you get strange warnings. Then try the operation, and if it fails and you can't repair it, simply restore the snapshot, and all is like before. |

What does
echo $? give immediately afterwards? If Zero: Congratulations! All is well. |

So, apt update and apt full-upgrade is better? Cause this seems so and so. 5.

$ man pkcon | grep -A 1 5
5 Nothing useful was done. That's fine, too. Because we know, what it means. It means: All that could be done was done. |

If You want to get more info, add this:
-v, --verbose Show debugging information. And read 'man 1 pkcon'. |

I don't know if pkcon is helpful at all. It looks messy business to me. apt update and apt full-upgrade seems to work better or more cleanly.
