Black screen at boot

Sun Aug 27, 2017 10:50 am
Hi guys!

I'm meeting an issue when I start my laptop with kde neon.
I got a black screen after the splash screen. You can see what's happening below
Does someone has a solution?

A) If the login-screen comes up later:
proprietary nvidia drivers
live with it…

B) If nothing graphical comes up at all:
Check firmware/bios for discrete graphics choice.

Plasma is failing to start. Try running plasmashell vial krunner (alt-spacebar). Or if you have a shortcut assigned to a terminal session, open a terminal and type
Code: Select all
plasmashell &
. Ensure to type
Code: Select all
exit
to exit the terminal as killing the terminal from the kwin decoration button kills the parent process and plasmashell will die with it.
