Hi,
I would like to try Developer Edition Git-Stable. As I already have User Edition configured and with all the apps needed so what I would like to do is copying existing install to new partition and just do "repo switch" if it's possible. In User Edition the only KDE repos I see are: - archive.neon.kde.org/user/xenial main - archive.neon.kde.org/user/xenial main (Source Code) Is switch possible? |

if you have a backup (like you describe ) and know how to undo what you are going to try ,,,,then why not .
that is essentially how I got my ? Neon-frankenbuntu-/dev/stabel ,,,LOL ,,it was Kubuntu-16.04 and I just added
your Neon repos are more than likely in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/neon.list ,,,,comment out (add a # in front of) the existing ones and add the one I posted and/or this one if you need source code
it will be a LOT of upgrading , several hundred probably. it is NOT recommended but if you know what your doing and can reinstate your backup of the original ,,,,why not ![]() it may be fun VINNY |

thanks, user >>> stable - this is what I was searching for.
Yes, paths like you're describing, yes - I know what I'm doing - at least I think so^^ I had been using Cloneziila earlier but after I found Snapshot for Windows it is now just 1 minute to make a bare metal used blocks only backup /restore/copy of any of my linux partitions. So now all quick combinations are possible and we talk here only about SandyBridge Thinkpad with SATA SSD. Probably with NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD and quad-core Kaby Lake R machine it is all just flying. Then new UUID, fstab & refind edits and voila... But maybe pkcon refresh & update would be better for kde repo switch? edit: dist-upgrade: 355 to upgrade, 2 to newly install, 0 to remove and 0 not to upgrade. Need to get 198 MB of archives.

Upgrade went smoothly without any problems, 3 new config files installed as reported, all ok, thanks!
However no new online accounts solution, google drive integration, simple e-mail + contacts + calendar solution :/ We have changes in Settings view instead :/ |

for gdrive (google drive) install the "kio-gdrive" package ,,,the rest I do not use . then you will find it under Dolphin>Network in the places panel. https://photos.google.com/album/AF1QipPubN74i0aHj5PSkeOSCJwFPz320-s6yrpbtKlm/photo/AF1QipNr9YdzTwgYyAz4IbPBa_ETMcayy6n-sEFNNxSs VINNY |

Strange thing, it works for me under OpenSuse TW, does not work under KDE Neon UserE and Manjaro KDE stable (all the authentication steps were the same just Dolphin shows the Drive content only under OpenSuseTW). Anyway i have linked Drive folder synced via Windows from time to time so that is not problem (would be bigger without Windows Drive client but that is also true that we can always use browser for that). However it is quite possible that there would be official Google client for Linux - I have discovered lately that there is new Google Music Manager for Linux for loading music to google cloud. But what I really lack is Gnome online accounts functionality with Evolution, Calendar and Contacts auto synced then, two latter being quite nice. Let's hope it is going to change soon. |

I do not know what to say to that , @hear the kio-gdrive works as expected on both my /dev/stable and a pretty much stock user-LTS install .
