Hi Peeps.
New to the forum and Neon.I am having a big issue with the latest 5.11 Plasma update on Neon and also Mint 18 KDE had the same issue exactly. .I have just done a fresh install of the User LTS edition and updated the system straight away. After the update which has upgraded to Neon 5.11 and booting back up I have totally lost my panel widgets and the panel is now just a transparent black panel with nothing at all on it and also right desktop click has gone so I can't access any settings to do anything to the panel. I have been using Xfce and Gnome mainly for the last few years and used KDE for a while before that but it was a bit heavy for my old laptop but I now have a Dell XPS 15 with a quad core i7 so I really wanted to try KDE again and am sadly put off by this as I do love KDE.I hope someone can help with a fix for this. The system is running well except for this issue and I have installed cairo dock to give me access to everything. ![]() ![]() |

I'm not familiar with this problem, but I would suggest looking at your syslog for errors. Open a terminal and use the following commands
cd /var/log ls That will show you the various logs you can look at. Some tips on searching logs are here https://www.loggly.com/ultimate-guide/a ... inux-logs/ but what I usually wind up doing is entering the following command and scrolling through with the page down key scanning for errors. nano /var/log/syslog |
