Hello,
It could be a lot of things. What is your normal internet connection speed? What is the current speed? You can test your current speed at a site like http://beta.speedtest.net/ |

Another downloadds have normal speed, the problem affects only neon updates. |

It is probably your mirror if only kde updates is affected. https://download.kde.org/extra/download-mirrors.html Is there censorship in your nation or in the nation that hosts your mirror? Or is the mirror just having temporary problems? You could try changing mirrors, the easiest way would be to open up Discover (Menu in top right-->Configure Software Sources) or Muon (Settings-->Configure Software Sources). Your version might be a little different but hopefully it hasn't been changed much from the versions I use (User LTS version of neon on some computers and Kubuntu on this particular PC that I am posting from at the moment).

The problem is back.
Are there neon repositories mirrors? If so, how to use them? |

Did you try changing your mirror as suggested above?

The mirrors from mackay's link look outdated.

Is your speed still poor? Is your download good everywhere else?
What speed do you get from here - if you start downloading an iso file? https://files.kde.org/neon/images/neon- ... n/current/ |

with your link download speed varies between 1,060 and 1,120 KiB/s. My internet speed is normal. Only neon mirrors give me problems. |

It might be worth trying to refresh your neon source for updates.
To do this you would start 'discover' (the software management progrramme) / click on 'setting' / find the neon source list & delete this by clicking on the icon at the end / then add it back by opening a terminal window and typing: sudo add-apt-repository http://archive.neon.kde.org/user/ The system will then ask for your root password and add it back. Please post back if that makes a difference or not. |

If the above post doesn't work, I found a hint here http://www.linuxandubuntu.com/home/kde- ... tro-review about installing the normal Ubuntu application for changing update settings and mirrors.
Open a terminal (like Konsole) and type
enter your password if it asks for it, then after it installs type
That should open the application called Software Sources. On the first tab (neon Software) look for "Download from" and it will show what mirror you are using. Click the mirror and it will give you the options of "Main Server" and "Other". I would suggest trying "Other" and finding the mirror closest to you. If that mirror doesn't work, then try another mirror. |

thank you. before create this post I had already changed "download from" setting to a mirror closer to me. But this setting only affects ubuntu mirrors, not neon mirrors. I applied gfielding's tip yesterday but I did no test yet because there is no available update since then. |

If you have problems in the future install the package:
software-proporties-kde This will add the facility for you to easily change your update mirror. Once installed - start 'discover' / click on 'settings' / click on the 'more' option at the top and an additional setting is added to the menu. |
