Hey raddison, thanks for some lively conversation :) Not noble, not cynical, but perhaps provocative - more like you!

I have used Linux Mint with the Cinnamon DE for three years now - and it is time to make a change. Kdenlive is my focus and it seems likely that I will use KDE Neon with the next upgrade here. I have been very pleased with the Linux Mint official forums since you always get a response from the seeming full-time lurkers that seem to hang out there. It's a very lively and helpful community. Moving to KDE Neon means I will need to use this forum and it has me concerned. I posted four days in a row my progress with a Kdenlive problem until a Moderator dropped in. If the KDE Forums is viewed as a hospital where people go only when something is broken then that says something about the community here. I have found many posts asking for help with no reply - ever. I have also found replies with a possible solution and - no thank you's from the OP.

Since a community is what you make it - I have started trying to supply answers here for Kdenlive users, even though I am not an expert. Do you think I will someday deserve a "participation award" ? :D

All we really need is a few more people who love KDE and who want to be helpful deciding to come and try helping out by answering questions.
I do what I can with the time that I have to help others as far as my experience allows, and I'm sure there are a few others like raddison who do the same. Really that's all we really want from anyone. Come here with your problems and get the help that you need; then stick around and see if there is someone else you can help.
(also, perhaps some more playful banter or whatnot over in the KDE Cafe forum could also help liven this place up a bit).
