Hi guys,
I have a problem that really annoys me. For the last week, every time I try to install KDE neon user edition, I get the "Errno 5 input/output error". Now, here's the thing: I get this error only when I install from any USB drive - when I install from a DVD, the process of installing goes well, but after first restart, the system won't boot at all, saying that the hd0 is no accessible and introduces me into the grub> command line where nothing seems to work. The USB sticks are fine, if I use them with other iso files, like Kubuntu, Debian or Ubuntu, everything goes without any issues. I only have the error with KDE neon. Please let me know if you encountered this too, and if there is anybody who found a solution for this.

Thanks! Did read that the problem still persists. I will try with an older iso, or better keep using Kubuntu till all this is solved.

Booting the ISO via USB on YUMI I get the errno5 input output error during the install, trying to install alongside widows 10 on a Lenovo Helix.
If I burn the ISO to USB using Rosa, I don't even get the option to keep Windows, only to install and wipe the entire disk.

I updated the ISO by downloading the neon-userltsedition-20171129-1819-amd64.iso and the installer just crashes out
In terminal sudo ubiquity
Returns
"Bus Error"

First post here.
First Neon install either:) And I got Errno 5 error. I tried two different images (5.16 and 5.17 if I remember correctly), both downloaded from the official site. I used rufus and Atcher to burn the image (well, flash rather). I used two different usb sticks, two computers and two different HDDs (first I was planning to have the system installed on was brand new SSD (which BTW I sent for a replacement as damaged; it may turned out the disk was good), the second was regular, used HDD).

It seems to me something is wrong with the image, but I didnt find any posts on that issue..

Ahh, just to add - when I started the system live from the usb sticks - it all worked perfectly.
