Installed a fresh copy of Neon User 5.12 on a laptop that ran great with Neon User LTS 5.8
After first boot, updated packages with pkcon and rebooted. Sometimes it boots, sometimes it "boots" to a blank screen. If I hold the power button down and force it off, and turn on again, eventually it boots to a login screen. It may take several of these on/off/on-again cycles to successfully boot. Any suggestions? |

I don't think so, mine unlocks fine after suspending. It just won't boot...most times.

Hi Guys,
Seems i am having the same issue than described in Gfielding link. I 've tried the solution given in the link, to remove cache files and reboot, but for any reason it did not work... Mine is not a "fresh" install, i have KDE NEON user edition installed since few month on this laptop. i did an update yesterday, and today, black screen of death after loggin. The "funny" thing is that everything works except plasma desktop. with alt+f2 i could get my connection working, firefox, music, everything is there, but the overall desktop is not... If it can help, that's what still in the caches directory after deleting them in previous session:
trying to restart the plama desktop:
please, tell me you know what is going on... ![]() Many thanks !! |
