Hello Folks,
I am new to KDE and new to this particular forum. I've been playing around with KDE (specifically KDE neon) and have really enjoyed the distro and appreciate all the hard work that has gone into the making of it. Also, I have tried search this and other forums for an up-to-date answer to the question I'm posing and apologize for posting what could, quite possibly, be a duplicate question. Here's the question: Is there a way with KDE (specifically the newest KDE neon release) to only have virtual desktop switching take place on a primary monitor while a secondary monitor stays fixed on a single desktop? If there are any Gnome users reading this, I'm wanting to mimic that desktop behavior with two monitor. Cinnamon also allows for workspaces to only be used on the primary monitor as well. My second problem is that I do not like the direction Gnome is going and I'm not a fan of Cinnamon DE but love the abilities of KDE and the level of customiztion it offers, hence my question. Again, sorry if this is a duplicate but the most recent posts I could find were fairly old in comparison of the evolution of the KDE desktop in the last year. Thanks for any and all help/direction and/or comments! EDIT: One other thing...I do know how to use the workaround with pinning an app to show on every desktop and move it the my second monitor. This works well as a workaround but it's just that, a workaround. And in trying to make a decision as to whether or not I install neon on my main machine, I am trying to decide if the workaround is workable for me. Still, love the distro. |

I know this or similar (independent switching the desktop/activity of each monitor) has been asked about a couple of times before, but I don't think it's been implemented yet.
