This is so weird!

I received updates for 190 packages this morning. After the upgrade, my fstab got messed - I don't know how or why (I didn't do anything).

I was opening a torrent file in qBittorrent. When I went about selecting the right partition to save the download I got nothing - the partition didn't show up. So, I checked the fstab and it was okay. My data partitions are mounted in /media. I went to the /media directory and there was nothing! No directories for my mounted partitions. Just to check I enabled the hidden folders, and there they are! All my data partition mounting points - hidden! BUT the directory names do not have the required . (dot) in front of them!

How or why did this happen? How to make these directories unhidden? Will making them unhidden restore my partition mounting points?

Thanks szell for replying. But I don't know how to unhide these directories because they do not have a dot (.) in the filename. Any idea how to do that?
