Happen to see this Strawpoll on the G+ KDE Neon community site...
that I didn't see posted in this forum (yet) last I saw... the poll was kinda running 50-50 and in case you ask... I don't know what the OP of that poll meant by "Linux Mint" I guess it doesn't matter if it's specific to KDE or something else I'm content knowing where my vote went!

One would assume that the OP meant Linux Mint KDE since they are dropping the KDE version in the upcoming 19 series releases. There has been much discussion on their community boards about which KDE distro users will go to or use a different desktop.

Now that was something I did not know...
I guess that Mint KDE community would be looking around and it could be--one of--the OP's intent to highlight Neon... possibly... I think it would presuade that community if they saw a more overwhelming vote for Neon than 50-50 (IMHO)

And a thank you--on behalf I guess of the OP not so much me--for Neon users taking the time to vote
Whether or not some of that Mint KDE community actually see that Strawpoll, I'm expecting an increase in our Neon community! ![]()

I like Linux Mint. I hate to see them discontinue KDE. I do respect their reasoning though.
With Neon I have had my issues and concerns with the way it ran on my system in the past. I was even as late when 5.12 came out. With me I watch a lot of YouTube channels to see how the world of Linux is doing and what distro's are hot off releases. I did watch Rob on Linux Quest and decided to give Neon another try. Today is day two. I did install the 15.2 update last night. One thing I did notice right off the bat--Discover is actually working properly for me. =-) It is actually loading and the updater is working. Now it is a decision on to run KDE Neon or Kubuntu 18.04. My mom is running Kubuntu. She really likes it. Says it is their best ever. For me and my vote, I give it to KDE Neon over Mint KDE. Mints version will become a thing of the past; and this system is running amazingly well. The option to install the programs you want is very appealing. It's good to open up the menu and see personal options. Thanks Neon team.
