Request for KDE Neon Bionic

Thu May 31, 2018 6:13 pm
I have two requests . . .
1) The liveCD won't boot on my computer that has an Asus Mobo (ROG Maximus X Hero), and a GeForce GTX 1050 video card.

The Nvidia card and the nouveau drivers fight and loading freezes.
Adding "nouveau.noaccel=1" to the boot allows the LiveCD to load.

2) This motherboard has a RealTek r8822be wifi card. Drivers are not available on the LiveCD and won't work with the default kernel.

I found a working solution on https://askubuntu.com/questions/926364/how-to-make-my-pci-wifi-card-rtl8822-working-on-ubuntu

The first answer "I just got this working, it is fairly easy all up (after googling etc.) . . ." got me up and running.

I'm hoping you can incorporate these two items into the new iso.

Re: Request for KDE Neon Bionic  Topic is solved

. . . and the above request in rather pointless in that KDE Neon is about pushing the latest software for the KDE Desktop . . .
I'm at least several months late and should have directed this at the Ubuntu formus.
Ah well, good reference source now for when I install KDE Neon Bionic as soon as it becomes available.
