My KDE neon is running KDE 5.12.5. Why is it not upgrading to 5.13?

Either that or no ...
... has been used. It is rumored that about 1/2 of all Neon installations are never updated correctly or at all.

@raddison,
FYI: I have KDE LTS 5.12 on several computers,"sudo apt update", and "sudo apt full-upgrade" will not update the system to 5.13. |

@fredhoud Of course not. I said EITHER that OR ![]()

Neon uses PackageKit for updates and upgrades. In the FAQ it is stated to use commands pkcon refresh and pkcon update to correctly pull and install updates as apt or apt-get will NOT do this correctly.

While
Both methods are technically correct in my opinion (and not only) and we've been through this a million times. No more.

Assuming you are using the Long Term Release if you modify your sources.list you can (apparently) painlessly upgrade to 5.13.2. Just did this on the one box where I was still running the 5.12.5 version. Refreshed the repositories and upgraded. Went smoothly.
Edit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/neon.list deb http://archive.neon.kde.org/user/ltr/ xenial main becomes http://archive.neon.kde.org/user/ xenial main deb-src http://archive.neon.kde.org/user/ltr/ xenial main becomes http://archive.neon.kde.org/user/ xenial main pkcon refresh pkcon update No promises that it will go as smoothly on your system. Use at your own risk. ![]() Linux Mint LTS 19 has just been released. The new Neon probably won't be long now. Maybe just wait and do a clean install . . . Which I will be doing on my machines. Wanted to do the 12.5 ---> 13.2 update just to see if it would work. |

@cylverbak, The KDE Neon has own repositories? |

Yes, in terms of packaging, KDE Neon is a third party repo providing up-to-date Plasma etc.
