I am having a problem, specifically with Ktorrent and Ideamaker. I click to start the application and I get the icon to splash on the screen briefly, however the application does not run. I have searched online, and have seen people reporting similar issues with Ubuntu, mint, etc. However never any solution posted.

Have you tried running the application from the command-line? What error messages does it spit out?
Has the problem been reported to Ideamaker?
