On a fresh install of KDE Neon, I ran
``` apt update apt dist-upgrade ``` I got the following error: ``` Preparing to unpack .../drkonqi_5.12.5-0+16.04+xenial+build8_amd64.deb ... Looks like a packaging bug, but it is easy ti fix.
The package in question contains a file that is already present, but suposed to be in a different package. To fix this, we will force it to overwrite the existing file:
Thanks. Worked fine afterwards. Is it a new bug?
I can't say, as I am not using Neon LTS, I am not seeing this on Neon User. You may want to make a bug report on it. But:
This part is odd, as this package, which is the one with the existing file, is not present in the archives at version 5.8.8. Can I guess the iso image you used to do this fresh install is rather old? With the Plasma version now at 5.12, it could be that which files belong in which package has changed. If you installed from a current iso this error would not have happened. Iso images are built very often, the latest LTS image is from 4 July.
Yes. It was an old ISO from last year. I edited out the `lts` part in `/etc/apt/sources.list.d/neon.list`. Finally got KDE 5.13 too
