Hello,

on Neon 16.04 and 18.04 i get with my and with an fresh profile an error if i open in telepathy the chat window. KIOexec Error. And very big error messagebox. See attached picture. On normal Kubuntu 18.04 that is working. So can i do someting to fix this error?

It is hard to know where is the problem.
You could search whether you have the last telepathy version running pkcon search telepathy. There is a man page for pkcon under the terminal konsole (man pkcon).

Perhaps, you could fix it running the following commands:
pkcon refresh
pkcon update
pkcon repair

the error is also on new installation, but...

pkcon repair

is interesting. What does this do exactly? On my new Testinstall this would be do nothing. But on my officecomputer the command would be reinstall, it looks likes the whole system. With apt there is no problem detected.

the man pkcon page under terminal says:
repair
Attempt to repair the system package database.

You could find this command useful for many other purposes.

Thanks. This day after the last update, no repair is necessary.

The system is updated to date, however this does not solve the problem, it persists.

I have the same problem.

Does someone know when ktp-text-ui 18.04.0 will make it into KDE Neon? The commit is 8 months old
The bug is extremely annoying and the delay somewhat contrary to the promise of KDE Neon to have a stable Ubuntu with current KDE packages.
