Hello I am looking for an older KDE Neon release with a 4.4 Kernel Image.
I have issues with Kernel 4.13 that I don't want to get further into... Basically just an older Image of KDE Neon would do it. One that doesn't use the newer HWE Stack kernel releases. The Kernel I'm looking for is provided in Ubuntu 16.04.1, which I am currently running because of this. (now 16.04.5 with 4.4 kernel) I've also tried to downgrade the Kernel in KDE neon by myself "I'm not an expert" with no success ![]() (I Tried installing the Kernel Image and headers via synaptic, changed to 4.4 in grub but just got a black screen until I switched back...) Any tips or Information on how I can get the older 4.4 Kernel running in KDE Neon ? I prefer just an older Image that provides this kernel, but either way is fine for me. Thank you! |

You shouldn't need to go back to an old version.
Installing the packages linux-headers-4.4.0-130-generic, linux-headers-4.4.0-130, linux-image-4.4.0-130-generic & linux-image-extra-4.4.0-130-generic, should do the trick. Just mirror what you have installed with the 4.13 series kernel. I just tried & it works fine. |
