Hi,
I'm fairly new to Neon and after trying to install the blueman, bluetooth and pavucontrol packages (which also installed python3-cairo) in attempt to get my bluetooth headphones to show up as an audio output device Neon now wont boot up past the splash screen that shows before the login prompt. I get a black screen with a mouse pointer and I can do alt-ctrl-f2 to get into konsole. Once there if I try and run plasmashell I get the error:
If i run "startx", xorg starts and then shuts down without error. I've tried removing the bluetooth packages but nothing changed and now I'm stuck for what to try next. I'm running Kde neon user edition 5.12 Many thanks |

After reinstalling the libQt5Quick package the error has gone and I now get "unable to connect to display" if I run plasmashell from konsole. Still get black screen with cursor on startup
If I now run startx from konsole I get one gui screen without task menus. Am very stuck now, have no idea where to go from here so any help is very much appreciated. |

The issue was fixed after I did and apt-get update and apt-get upgrade. I guess next time neon decides to fall over trying to do the simplest task I'll just have to hope there's an upgrade available.
Bluetooth headphones still not working

Hi callum,
Could you try under the terminal these command: inxi -Nn and put the output to see whether the hci0 device is soft or hard blocked? Regards |

Hi j8a, thanks for the help but I solved the issue using this stack overflow solution https://askubuntu.com/questions/833322/ ... -bluetooth
