Is that for the bionic based iso snapshots dated the 06092018 and the 05092018 respectively?

I had the same issue with the user-edition dated the 06092018. I have tried on two different systems- from two different downloads - and the same on each.

Hi guys,
My current installation is based on bionic preview build # 50 User Edition and it's updated to the latest everything. It just works. It's probably not perfect but the functionality and stability that I need are there. Looking forward to final and Calamares. ;)

My experience is the same as yours Raddison. The bionic based neon works really well - with no real issues.

After my problem with the most recent snapshot, I did a fresh re-install with the previous snapshot ISO (23082018). There were so many updates - which just goes to show what an active distro neon is.

Since my previous post I see that a new bionic iso snapshot has been published (15092018). I will give that a go and report back.

I did a fresh install using the new iso snapshot 15092018 user edition but the iso still has the same installer crash (just after the installing the hardware part).

@gfielding To my mind bionic build 50 User Edition has been the best so far. The guys will probably continue working on it after they return from Akademy (Aug 11-17).

How works the file to bug report?

I thought that the people that works in KDE neon see the comments that we put here.

Hello:

Today I have installed "neon-devedition-gitstable-20180918-1245-amd64.iso" Bionic image and thinking in error I make how explain in the bug report.

1º- Opened the konsole and wrote: sudo journalctl -ef
Recorded the image. Crash when make the format of partition.

Reboot the live iso.

2º-Opened de Konsole and wrote: sudo journalctl -kef
Recorded image. Chash when the installer is installing the "boot loader... 70%.

More later I installed " neon-devedition-gitstable-20180918-1052-amd64.iso " Xenial image and the installer works fine.

Thanks.

The crash during install should be fixed on the new images
https://build.neon.kde.org/view/openqa%20⛑/job/openqa_bionic_useredition_installation/
https://files.kde.org/neon/images/bioni ... eredition/
Upgrade should be fixed for missing ecryptfs-utils which ment users with encrypted home folders had no access to their files
We'll launch next week if there's no more major issues, please carry on testing.
