Corsair k70 Login screen issues

Fri Aug 10, 2018 1:49 am
Hi all, as by the title of this post I run into issues with my Corsair k70 LUX Keyboard during boot, it works fine in Bios and grub but as soon as I land on the login screen the keyboard has no input at all, even when unplugged and plugged back in, only when using the virtual keyboard and having logged in can I unplug and plug back in to get it working.

So far I have installed CKB and ran all the appropriate updates on the system and tried various "fixes" but none of them have worked for me, so Im hoping someone might be able to help me correct this issue?
Oh and yes I have searched the Forums, but the fixes have not worked.

OS Info:
KDE Neon 5.48.0 ( 4.15.0-30-generic #32~16.04.1-Ubuntu )

Cheers

Is the CKB Daemon starting on-boot or on-login? Might be something to check. Sounds like you need to enable the daemon on boot.

Additionally, kernel 4.16 added additional support for corsair products, but im unsure if it included this keyboard. My mouse now works without any extra software on Kernel 4.16, where it did not before and i had similar situations with CKB installed.

Ok, I have updated the Kernel to 4.16 now, still no change unfortunately, how would i check to see when the CKB daemon is starting? I would assume that its starting after login, though even when its running i still need to unplug and plug back in the keyboard to get it working, Though in saying that im now getting errors on boot pre-login saying usb 3-9 cannot read configuration or some such.

Ill search how i can check to see when the service is starting otherwise
