yesterday i try to install neon from my kubuntu 18.04.

i had an error from libpam-kwallet4, so i do

sudo apt --fix-broken install

And after i had some errors :

And i need removed neon-desktop the ppa of neon and reinstall plasma-desktop.

neon 18.04 is stable ?

Can I turn Kubuntu into KDE neon with a PPA?

We recommend that you install a fresh KDE neon from the provided ISO images. But you can indeed add an APT repository to switch from Kubuntu to KDE neon. This is absolutely not tested or supported. If things take a turn for the worse you are expected to be knowledgable enough to repair your system on your own. A web search should quickly give you relevant information on how to do this.

At the moment, only 18.04 testing images are available for Neon, so either wait for final ones, or take your risk with those.

I used my Ubuntu from many years so i wouldn't erase it.

I tried to do this to switch to neon :

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install neon-desktop

and i have the error of first post.

this can be work ?

Did you look at the description of that ppa?

It's nothing to do with KDE Neon, and last had packages uploaded to it in 2009!

After many manipulation i am now on Neon 5.13.

How to install neon from kubuntu 18.04 ?

I can see no point in it, lol. Get a Neon image.

I use the ppa : http://archive.neon.kde.org/user_lts/
I use the command :

dpkg::options::="--force-overwrite"

And I uninstall all package from kde with muon, so before to reboot i install the meta-package ubuntu-desktop to have a graphical interface.

After reboot i have many problem with depends, i try to uninstall all package of Qt with synaptic.

To resolve the depends cycle, i use aptitude :

sudo aptitude install neon-desktop

After some aptitude use i finaly resolve depends. Except for a package qtcurve.

After i use the ppa : http://archive.neon.kde.org/user/
And I use again so aptitude for neon-desktop.

Now screenfetch and kinfocenter, say me that i am on Neon 5.13.

This is not a PPA, PPA is a launchpad feature what you are talking about has nothing to do with launchpad. More importantly this is not the correct archive. You need

There is a solution ?
