Hi,
I am not able to install the latest KDE neon from a bootable USB drive. The problem occurs after I boot the stick and choose to run KDE neon. It shows me the neon logo with a spinning loading animation below. That animation runs for a few seconds and then stops, i.e. it freezes. I left my laptop stuck there for a few minutes but nothing more happened. What may cause this issue and what can I do to be able to install KDE neon? If you need more detailed information, please tell me what steps I need to do. I am relatively new to using Linux. Thanks! |

Hi,
I agree with mdevi, you should tell us which program did you use to write the iso on the usb. I use RosaImageWriter from this link: http://en.rosalinux.com/downloads/ Regards, |

This sounds like a problem I had, it was caused by my nvidia graphics. I fixed it by pressing 'e' at the bootloader screen and adding 'nomodeset' to the boot options.

if you are using integrated intel graphics card, it should be missing the xserve-xorg-video-intel that was removed from NEON.
Every time after the boot splash screen, give black screen. Fix: boot normally when the screen turns black press ALT + F2 enter your username and password and type " sudo apt install xserver-xorg-video-intel -y " after install restart the PC |
