Upgrades to 18.04 are working well but maintaining twice as many builds as normal is taking its toll on our time and team of guinea pig packagers. Neon on 16.04 (xenial) base will reach End of Life on Monday. Please update to 18.04 base to continue receiving updates.

hm, i am not really happy with the update.
loading times >1min, kdeinit5 is crashing when saving, moving files, writer is not sending attachments to Thunderbird anymore.

I can live with the boot time, but that kdeinit segfault drive me nuts. Its not happening with a new user, can anyone give me a hint what to repair ?

Sometimes I also have a delay at start up because of the apt.daily update but not often.
I also have troubles when attaching files with Writer, but I could not resolve this by now.
You should think to install kdeinit5-dbg package in order to debug the problem.

I have already installed kinit-dbgsym, i think from the error message dialog itself you can do that. But, what kdeinit5 is throwing out, is of no means to me. i made a bug report but i think its in the wrong place because first it happended with kdenlive, after that i had the same with dolphin.

It's hard to believe in a network fail, because before and after this network is working very fine.

Any sugestions?

looks like i have to reinstall from iso, update is NOT working flawless.

Boot is very slow,(>1min from ssd) and i have no clue what to do about that
Kdeconnect showing phone connected but is not working
Triple screen with one blackscreen after every boot
gimp link from startmenu is starting with wine (have never installed windows gimp)
(that i can fix myself)

overall i am not satisfied. And i do not want to reinstall *meh

after trying a new neon install with funny errors(kernel, hddisk) i finally found a solution - its called Manjaro.
Now i know why it is #1 in distrowatch
