Raspberry Pi

Mon Oct 08, 2018 5:36 pm
Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else is using kde neon on their Raspberry Pi 3? It's the first time I've been able to use Wayland on the Pi and I'm impressed. Desktop effects work well on the whole, and Firefox is running very smoothly.

There are of course a few niggles. Wayland does weird stuff with the screen resolution, but I think that is in part probably due to my rubbish monitor. The system-settings is horrible to use on a reduced resolution btw. I'm getting a lot of crashes from the pi's vc4 driver, that often are triggered by certain desktop effects or animations. In particular, the system-settings sliding animation on the left hand pane is practically guaranteed to bring the system down. Is there a way to turn this off?

Cheers

Adam
